Common Questions

Practical answers to the questions we most often hear before an engagement begins.

What kinds of organisations do you typically work with? +
abeerdeenl works primarily with mid-sized organisations headquartered or operating in Hong Kong — across finance, property, professional services, and the public sector. That said, the underlying challenges we address (business model clarity, regulatory positioning, facilities efficiency) are broadly common, so we assess fit on a case-by-case basis.
How long does an engagement typically run? +
It varies by service. The Business Model Innovation Workshop is typically structured across 3–6 weeks. Regulatory Compliance Roadmaps run 4–8 weeks depending on scope. Facilities Management Strategy projects are usually completed within 6–10 weeks. We scope each engagement carefully before agreeing timelines.
Do you work on a fixed-fee or retainer basis? +
The pricing ranges listed reflect project-based, fixed-scope engagements. We provide a clear fee proposal after an initial scoping conversation, so there are no surprises mid-engagement. We don't offer ongoing retainers — each project is defined, delivered, and closed.
What should we prepare before the first meeting? +
Very little. A brief description of what you're trying to address and a sense of your timeline is enough to start. We run structured scoping conversations to draw out the relevant detail — you don't need to arrive with a polished brief.
Are your services conducted in English or Cantonese? +
We work in English as our primary working language, and can accommodate bilingual engagements where workshops involve Cantonese-speaking participants. All written deliverables are produced in English.
How do you handle confidential business information? +
Confidentiality is foundational to the work. We sign NDAs as a matter of course and apply appropriate information handling procedures throughout every engagement. Client data is never shared with third parties. We can discuss specific requirements before any engagement begins.
